A Beautiful Snowy Day!

It has been a really long time since we have posted an update about our little family! We are doing really well, all settled into our post-school life!

We have had some really crazy weather here in N. Illinois the last couple of days! Yesterday we had hours of sleet (we even lost power for 3 hours!)and snow with thunder and lightning, today we started out with rain and then it turned back into a beautiful snow! We thought it would be a perfect opportunity to take Jack out to build his first snowman! We had a great time, especially because Jack is feeling so good. For those of you who didn't know Jack has been strugging the last couple weeks with a sinus infection and bronchitis. We have been doing a round of antibiotics as well as breathing treatments with a nebulizer every 4 hours around the clock for the last 10 days. He was a pretty sick little guy, but if the pictures are any indication, he is definately feeling like himself again!

Sorry we don't post more updates, time seems to get away from us! We will try to do more :)

More snowy pictures!

Here are just a few of the pictures I (Jonda) took of the scenery while we were outside today. It was really beautiful!

Jack is 1!!!

Well the 14th has come and gone and our baby is finally one!!! We had a great time at his birthday party even though it was 98 degrees with a heat index of 105! He was such a good boy all day especially considering he had to skip his afternoon nap for his party!!! He loved being with all the special people who shared in his day and he partied like crazy!!! He had a zoo themed party so daddy made sure there were lots of animals all over to make it look wild! He even made Jack's special monkey cake (mommy baked it, daddy decorated!). We had such a good time and cant believe it is over! Jack is growing up so fast! We went to the pediatrician yesterday and found out that Jack now weighs 22 lbs 8 oz and is 31.5 inches long. That is a far cry from the 8lbs 9oz and 20.5 inches he was when he was born! We are SO proud of him! Hope you enjoy the pictures of Jack and if we havent heard from you in a while, drop us a line and let us know what is going on with you!

Jack is almost a year old!!!!

Well, it's official. Our little baby isn't so little anymore! In just 2 and a half short weeks Jack will be one year old. Time goes by so fast! So here is an overload of pictures of our little guy so we can all bask in the cuteness that is Jack LOL!
All of these pictures were taken by my cousin Bonnie's husband Bob on Jacks weekly stay at their house! There are hundreds of pictures to choose from but these are some of my favorites!

Our visit to Texas! Suprise!

Karen, Jack and I suprised Randy and Jenny by showing up on their doorstep to see the Passion Play that they were in over Easter weekend! I wish I had pictures of their reaction! Priceless. Their play was AWESOME and we really enjoyed it! We had a good time visiting with them and seeing Daniel who is SO big and running all over the place! We also got to spend some good quality time with Sheri and I got to meet her kids Travis and Kayla for the first time! They are really great kids! This was the first time Sheri, Travis and Kayla got to meet Jack and they all loved eachother! We wish we could have stayed longer but it was a lot of fun to get to go!

Hope you enjoy some pictures of our trip!

I want a Whataburger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just had to go to Whataburger since it was my first time in Texas! Jack seemed to enjoy himself too!

Picture Overload!!!

It has been a long time since we have posted pictures so I thought we should get to it (thanks for the friendly nudge, Sharon :) ). Jack is now 8 months old and really growing up SO fast! Seems like just yesterday we brought our little bundle home from the hospital! Here are some of his accomplishments to date:
-Waving hi & byebye
-Crawling like a crazy man!
-Cruising around the furniture
-pulling himself up on anything and everything
-saying mama, dada, hi and hey (and we are pretty sure he knows what he is saying sometimes. When Jason comes home from work Jack will wave to him and say "hi da" and he doesnt do that with anyone else!)
He is just the cutest and best thing ever!!!!

Long overdue for an update!

Things have been so busy here for us that we don't know whether we are coming or going!! Here is an update on the happenings of the Maus family.

Jack is doing wonderfully! He is such a happy-go-lucky baby! He is getting into everything and can wave hi and bye! Whenever he goes to the grocery store with mommy he is waving to all the ladies and they cannot resist his charm! He has 2 teeth and is working hard on crawling! We cannot believe he is 7 months old already! Just the other day we walked into his bedroom and he was standing up in his crib! What a suprise! He brings such joy to our life, we cannot remember what life was like without him!

Jason continues to do well in school and is preparing for his second round of finals this week. He gets wonderful experience at Geil's Funeral Home and is really enjoying his job. He is also trying to get our house remodeled. The busiest never ends.

Jonda is so busy at work! She has added an extra day in the office because she was not getting everything done that she needed to! She is preparing a parish wide Catechism study, getting the 8th graders ready for Confirmation, 1st Reconciliation is Tuesday and 1st Communion is in May. She also just finished with planning the week-long Parish Mission. Whew!! She will be glad when her busy time is over and she can go back to 2 days in the office and the rest of her time working from home and being with Jack!!!!!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures of Jack and we will try to post updates more often!

Blessings;
Jason, Jonda & Jack
