Picture Overload!!!

It has been a long time since we have posted pictures so I thought we should get to it (thanks for the friendly nudge, Sharon :) ). Jack is now 8 months old and really growing up SO fast! Seems like just yesterday we brought our little bundle home from the hospital! Here are some of his accomplishments to date:
-Waving hi & byebye
-Crawling like a crazy man!
-Cruising around the furniture
-pulling himself up on anything and everything
-saying mama, dada, hi and hey (and we are pretty sure he knows what he is saying sometimes. When Jason comes home from work Jack will wave to him and say "hi da" and he doesnt do that with anyone else!)
He is just the cutest and best thing ever!!!!

Long overdue for an update!

Things have been so busy here for us that we don't know whether we are coming or going!! Here is an update on the happenings of the Maus family.

Jack is doing wonderfully! He is such a happy-go-lucky baby! He is getting into everything and can wave hi and bye! Whenever he goes to the grocery store with mommy he is waving to all the ladies and they cannot resist his charm! He has 2 teeth and is working hard on crawling! We cannot believe he is 7 months old already! Just the other day we walked into his bedroom and he was standing up in his crib! What a suprise! He brings such joy to our life, we cannot remember what life was like without him!

Jason continues to do well in school and is preparing for his second round of finals this week. He gets wonderful experience at Geil's Funeral Home and is really enjoying his job. He is also trying to get our house remodeled. The busiest never ends.

Jonda is so busy at work! She has added an extra day in the office because she was not getting everything done that she needed to! She is preparing a parish wide Catechism study, getting the 8th graders ready for Confirmation, 1st Reconciliation is Tuesday and 1st Communion is in May. She also just finished with planning the week-long Parish Mission. Whew!! She will be glad when her busy time is over and she can go back to 2 days in the office and the rest of her time working from home and being with Jack!!!!!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures of Jack and we will try to post updates more often!

Blessings;
Jason, Jonda & Jack

Maus Haus Update!

I thought it was time we had more of an update than pictures! Jack is doing really well! We went to the Pediatrician on Friday for his 4 month check up and he is doing well! He weighs 15lbs 13 oz and is 25.5 inches long! He is in the 75th percentile for weight and length so he is a big boy but very healthy and the Dr. was very pleased! She also was impressed with Jack's strength and how advanced he is! She also commented on how he was such a happy boy now! She said he is like a different baby! Those of you who know what a rough first couple of months we had know how happy we are to hear that!!! He also had his second round of immunizations and the first time he had no reaction whatsoever but this time was very different! He has been running a fever of 102 degrees for the last 24 hours and is a generally miserable little guy :( The ped said that this is normal and to not be concerned but it is hard to see him not feel good! But overall Jack is doing wonderfully and is such a special and happy little baby!!! The Dr also said he could have cereal and we were so excited! So Jack got his first taste of rice cereal this morning! He wasnt quite sure what to make of it but he did a really good job!!!

Jason is doing well in school...he continues to get A's on all of his tests and quizzes. He loves school and is preparing for his first bunch of finals after Thanksgiving!

We are so busy but are having so much fun!

Best Buds!

Jack's Baptism Pictures

We just got these pictures from Jack's baptism so we had to share! Jack was baptized on August 14th at St. Mary Church, DeKalb. Jack was so good! He slept through the whole thing (he actually slept most of the day! And then he was up all night but it was worth it!) We feel so blessed to have our little angel!

2 months old!

I know everyone has seen these pictures of Jack at two months but this blog wouldn't be complete without them! He is having his 3 month pictures taken this weekend so stay tuned for those!

The first posts!

Well, since this is the first post of this blog, I have decided to go back to the beginning and show you some pictures of Jack when he was first born. He arrived in our world on Thursday, July 14, 2005 at 5:41pm following an emergency C-Section. It was a blessing to have him arrive safe and sound! He weighed 8lbs 9oz and was 20.5 inches long (he now weights close to 14lbs and will celebrate his 3 month birthday on friday!!!) Hope you have enjoyed these pictures of Jack!
